The Fashion Show Mall to Charge for Parking During Formula 1 Grand Prix
The Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas, located across from The Wynn, will be implementing a parking fee of $40-$75 during the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix from November 16-18. This new parking fee will only be waived for those who spend at least $100 inside the mall.
Usually, parking at the Fashion Show Mall is free. However, during the Grand Prix weekend, ACE Parking will be charging $40 per car to enter the parking structure behind the mall on November 16. This rate will increase to $75 on November 17 and race day, November 18.
To receive a refund for the parking charge, motorists must show receipts proving they spent $100 across the property before 5 p.m. Additionally, restaurant receipts from any of the sit-down restaurants facing the Strip will also be valid for a refund until 11:59 p.m.
Brookfield Properties, the property manager, emphasized the convenience of purchasing parking in advance with links provided on the fslv.com website for visitors who want to avoid congestion and ensure a convenient place to park during the event.
The announcement of the parking fee received mixed reactions on social media, with some expressing acceptance and understanding of the mall’s decision, while others were critical. However, it was noted that the parking fee is temporary and aimed at ensuring that the mall remains accessible for shoppers during the Grand Prix weekend.
Overall, the Fashion Show Mall’s decision to charge for parking during the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix has sparked discussion and the acknowledgment of the need for a balance between accommodating mall shoppers and managing the influx of visitors during the event.
