Rolls-Royce Debuts Latest Luxurious Car at Wynn Palace on Macau’s Cotai Strip

Rolls-Royce has introduced its newest model at the Wynn Palace casino resort on the Macau Cotai Strip in the form of the Spectre 2023. The Spectre is the first fully electric vehicle that Rolls-Royce has ever produced, debuting at a gala held at the Macau casino by Wynn China, a subsidiary of Las Vegas-based Wynn Resorts. The all-electric vehicle is a two-door coupe powered by two electric synchronous motors that produce 577 horsepower and has a range of around 260 miles. With a base price of $422,750, the Spectre is expected to cost over half a million dollars for most buyers, due to extensive customization options. Following the debut gala, the Rolls-Royce Spectre is displayed at the Wynn Palace North Atrium Lobby in Macau until December 1.

The event hosted more than 200 guests, many of whom are already Rolls-Royce owners, and aimed to further Macau’s reputation as a World Center of Tourism and Leisure. According to Wynn, the partnership with Rolls-Royce for the Spectre reveal is part of their mission to attract more global visitors to the Chinese enclave. Additionally, Wynn announced that they are collaborating with Rolls-Royce to host more international events in Macau.

Macau, being a popular destination for affluent guests, has a long history of catering to elite clienteles. In 2013, flamboyant businessman Stephen Hung ordered 20 Rolls-Royce Phantom vehicles amounting to $20 million, which was the largest single order in Rolls-Royce’s history at the time. The vehicles were intended to serve as shuttles for VIP guests at his ambitious resort, The 13, but the resort faced financial difficulties and never opened as a high-end casino. As a result, most of the Phantom vehicles were sold at a deep discount in 2019 after the project ended in bankruptcy.

It is worth noting that all Rolls-Royce automobiles are hand-built at the company’s manufacturing plant in West Sussex. The exhibition of the Rolls-Royce Spectre in Macau aims to give visitors from around the world a chance to experience the world’s first ultra-luxury electric super coupe and admire the craftsmanship of the vehicle.
